TI-CHIPS: Meeting Minutes April 2000

By Nina Hoffman

April minutes for TI-Chips taken by Nina Hoffman for Glenn Bernasek on April 15, 2000. We met in the small room of the library. Eight members were present. The meeting was called to order by Fred Ialacci. Les Kee brought coffee using an innovative way to serve us. It was greatly appreciated by all. Thank you Les.

The minutes of the March meeting were read by Fred since Glenn was coming late. The minutes were accepted as read.

Lin Shaw said he could not print up the Treasurer's report as his computer was down. Harry volunteered to let him use his micro expansion box, until Lin's was repaired. Lin stated that we were still doing good. Treasurer's report was accepted.

John Parken was not present so there was no membership or lending library report.

Les Kee had no report on the disk library.

During the committee reports discussion was on the Classic Computer and Gaming 2000 (CCAG) to be held on June 16 & 17th. TI Chips will have a table there and so will several of the members.

We were sorry to hear that Bruce Rodenkirch had passed on. His daughter informed Glenn that her mother wanted to make sure that Bruce's beloved TI system would find a loving home.

Harry Hoffman brought in a Mini Memory cartridge donated by Les Israel's wife because ours was misplaced a while ago.

Someone asked what a Line-by-Line Assembler did. It enables a small program to do a lot of work. It can be used with the CC99. Some people wondered if there were other uses for it.

Harry said that the CD from Rich Polivka with MICROpendium magazines on it works real nice. Paper Port works very well.

Fred cannot come to the meetings anymore due to his work schedule. He advised group to elect a new President. This will be a big loss for us. He will be greatly missed. Fred brought back the TV View box for the club as he won't be available anymore.

Next meeting we will have to decide if there will be a June meeting due to the fact that the Classic Computer show will be the same weekend.

Harry said go to the club's website if you want to have access to other newsletters that the other clubs send us. Craig will put them on for us!

Lin Shaw won the 50:50 raffle. Congratulations, Lin.

Meeting was adjourned at 12:00 PM.
