TI-CHIPS: Meeting Minutes March 2004

The March meeting of the TI-Chips was called to order and the Minutes from the February meeting were read. Lin Shaw gave the Treasurer's report. There was no Membership report. Our software Librarian, Les Kee, said there was no activity in the library.

Much of the meeting was devoted to discussing our web site as managed by our Webmaster, Scott Kee. The first item was our new Memorial Page dedicated to Cleveland area TI'ers and spouses who have passed on. I reported that I had received complimentary E-mails from people who appreciated the beauty and sensitivity of the Memorial page. Thank you Scott, for a job well done.

Scott reported that he was also working on obtaining software to enable visitors to the Jim Peterson Achievement Awards pages, which are planned for our site, to submit their interactions and selections directly to the awards Administrator. Scott said he is planning to provide three interactive pages, which will be accessible at specified times during the year. They will be the Nomination Page, the Editing Page and the Voting Page for the annual Jim Peterson Achievement Awards. This site addition is hoped to be available in time for nominations for the 2005 awards.

I showed the meeting attendees the framed TI99'ers Hall of Fame induction certificate for Jim Peterson. I explained that I was attempting to contact members of the Jim Peterson family to officially present the induction certificate to them. I also stressed the need to visit the Hall of Fame site at: www.ti99hof.org/. Not only is this site well worth the visit, it will eventually become the location for the new OLUG list server which will replace the present Yahoo! service.

I took the opportunity to take a picture of our newest member and Webmaster, Scott Kee for posting on the Members Gallery on the TI-Chips' web site. The shot looks great, and we're waiting to see it posted.

There were several non-TI items discussed until the conclusion of the meeting.

The next meeting of the TI-Chips was announced to be Saturday, April 17 in the Storytime Room at the North Royalton branch library from 10:00 until noon.
